Oregon Eclipse Journey

Sunrise, my first shot.

Before first contact.  You can see sunspots near the center, upper right, and down near the edge, left of center.

At this point, the images are all circular, more or less!

Getting pretty close now!

Notice the shape of the pinholes now!

Any Second Now!

Bingo!  All of a sudden, this weird thing is just hanging up there in the sky!
Then someone shouts "Diamond Ring!" and it's over.
People are pretty happy now!

There were even these crazy people climbing this rock during the whole thing.

And now the moon says, "I'm outta here!" and proceeds on its way out.

  1. Fabulous pics! We went as far north as Mount Shasta and drove up to about 6,500 feet. Good view of about 89-90% coverage. The temperature dropped and the light made colors look desaturated. Maybe in 2024 we'll plan better and get ourselves under the path for a 100% view.

  2. Gotta say, the 100% is a whole different beast. Yeah, gotta stay healthy for 2024!
